Zerodha Demat account users can now add nominees (nomination) online through Kite mobile application. This facility is now available directly on Kite so you don’t need to submit any physical documents to register a nominee.

Add Nominee to Zerodha Account Online on Kite
(Step 1) Open your Zerodha Kite application and login to your account. After login, tap and open the “Profile” section. Just tap on the User icon and select the “Profile” option.
(Step 2) In the profile, you can check “Manage account“. Just open this option. You will be redirected to Zerodha webpage.
(Step 3) Now open the menu options in the manage account and select the “Nominees” option
(Step 4) In the Nominees option, now tap on “Add Nominees”
(Step 5) Next, you need to add the nominee’s name, address, mobile, email ID, and relationship, select proof of ID & upload the same and hit the continue button.
(Step 6) After adding nominee details, now you will be redirected to the NSDL website where you need to digitally sign your nominee form using your Aadhaar card number and OTP. Enter your Aadhaar card number and tap on the send OTP.
(Step 7) Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar registered mobile number and click on the verify OTP.
(Step 8) You can see the digital nominee form, click on the sign now. You need to verify your Aadhaar card again using OTP as mentioned in steps 6 and 7.
(Step 9) After digitally signing your nomination form, it will be submitted successfully. You can check your status by opening the “Nominees” option in the manage account section.
