You can now open your Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) account online in Canara Bank. Yes, the bank now lets you purchase KVP certificate online. You can invest in Kisan Vikas Patra without visiting the bank or post office and view/download your kisan vikas patra certificate online.
After maturity, your Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) money will be automatically credited to your Canara Bank account. So if you are holding Canara Bank saving account and planning to invest in KVP scheme then follow the below process:
Invest in Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme Online in Canara Bank
(Step 1) You can use mobile banking and net banking to purchase Kisan Vikas Patra online. Here we will buy KVP through Canara net banking. Login to Canara net banking account and click on “Government Schemes — Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP). Now click on “Apply Now” as you can see in the below screenshot.
(Step 2) In the next step, choose your debit account, and enter the investment amount (You can invest min. 1000 and max. no limit). Now click on confirm.
(Step 3) Now you need to enter your personal information. Some information is already filled in, just enter your other details.
(Step 4) Next, you need to add a nominee for the KVP account. Enter the nominee’s name and address. Select your home branch in branch information and submit.
(Step 5) If your filled details are accurate then click on the confirm button and submit your KVP account opening application.
(Step 6) For verification, type your transaction password and One time password delivered to your linked mobile number. Enter both details and submit.
(Step 7) Great. Your transaction done successfully and your KVP account is ready. Click on “Download PDF” to view your KVP PDF file or you can view it later.
(Step 8) To check your Kisan Vikas Patra scheme investment, just open the “Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)” option, and here you can see all your KVP account details. You can also download your KVP PDF copy by clicking on the account number.
