Why should you delete your Google Pay UPI transaction history?
There are a few reasons why you may want to delete your Google Pay UPI transaction history:
- Privacy: Your Google Pay transaction history contains sensitive information, such as your bank account details and spending habits. Deleting this history can help to protect your privacy.
- Security: If your Google Pay account is hacked, the hacker could gain access to your transaction history. Deleting your transaction history can reduce the risk of this happening.
There are two ways to delete your Google Pay UPI transaction history:
- Delete individual transactions: You can delete individual transactions from the Google Pay app itself.
- Delete all transaction history: If you want to delete all of your Google Pay UPI transaction history, you can do so from the Google Account website.
Step-by-Step Process – Delete Google Pay Transaction Activity
(Step 1) Open the Google Pay app. Tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
(Step 2) Next screen, scroll down & tap and open the “Settings”
(Step 3) You can see “Privacy & Security” in the settings, select and proceed.
(Step 4) Tap and open “Data & Personalization”
(Step 5) On the following screen, you will come across an option labeled as “Google Account.” Tapping on this option will take you to your personal Google account, where you can access and modify your app settings and manage your payment information as per your preferences.
(Step 6) Now you can see your payment transaction & activity. Here you can view your all Google Pay transaction history. To delete individual transaction history, simply tap on the “X” button.
(Step 7) Your requested transaction history has been successfully deleted from your Google Pay account. As a result, this specific transaction record will no longer be visible in your transaction history list in Google Pay app.
(Step 8) To delete all your transaction history, you can tap on the “Delete” button.
(Step 9) Next screen select “All Time” option.
(step 10) And next screen you can select the “Delete” button to remove all your transaction activity on Google Pay app.
If you’re considering deleting your Google Pay transaction history, it’s important to know that doing so will not impact your bank statement. Your bank statement will continue to reflect all of your transactions, irrespective of whether or not they have been deleted from Google Pay.
This means that even if you choose to delete your Google Pay transaction history, your bank will still maintain a complete record of all your transactions. You can easily access your bank statement online or through your bank’s mobile app to review your financial activity.
