Indian Bank now lets you change your registered mobile number online without visiting the branch. If you are an Indian Bank customer and want to update your linked mobile number then no need to submit an offline request, you can update your mobile number online.
To receive transctions-related OTPs and SMS alerts, it is mandatory to keep your mobile number updated with your bank account, else you will be unable to receive any transaction alerts and can not complete any transaction without OTP.
If your mobile number is already linked with your Indian Bank account and you want to add a new mobile number with your bank account then follow these steps:
Change Indian Bank Account registered mobile number online
You can register your new mobile number with your Indian Bank account using net banking. If you have a net banking facility then follow the below steps and change your mobile number:
Step 1: Login to Indian Bank internet banking and click on “OPTIONS” Now click on “View Profile” and here you can see the “Mobile No” column. Just click on the “Update” button and proceed.
Step 2: You will receive an OTP on your current registered mobile number. Enter this OTP on the next screen and submit.
Step 3: And finally, enter your new 10-digit mobile number, your ATM/Debit card 16-digits number, ATM PIN, and card expiry month and year & submit your request. Done! your mobile number will be updated and activated to receive alerts and OTP.
So this way, Indian Bank customers can change or update their registered mobile number online, no need to follow the offline process. Make sure you have net banking, your current registered mobile number, and ATM/Debit Card to update your number online. If you don’t have your current registered mobile number then you need to visit the bank to update your number.
