How To Transfer SBI Account To Another Branch Online

SBI customers can now change home brach online without visiting the branch and filling the offline form. This online paperless SBI account transfer process just takes 5 minutes and your branch will be changed within 7 working days. If you wish to transfer your SBI account to another branch then no need to visit the bank, just log in to SBI online banking (net banking/mobile banking) and submit an online request.

If your current SBI branch too far from your location and you want to transfer your account to the nearest branch or not happy with the current branch then follow these two methods and change your SBI branch online.

1. Change SBI Branch Online using Mobile Banking

You can easily change your SBI branch online through SBI Mobile Banking app. You just need to select your account number and submit new branch details. After submitting your request, your account will be transferred to the new branch within 7 working days.

Login to SBI YONO Lite Mobile Banking app.

After login, tap and open Services tab.

In services, select Transfer of Saving Account.

Next screen, select your account number which you want to transfer, enter new branch code and click on GET BRANCH NAME. If you entered the correct new branch code then you can see your new branch name. If the branch name is correct then submit. (You can search online for branch code or use SBI branch locator)

And in the last step, confirm your request and submit.

2. Transfer SBI Account to Another Branch Online using Net Banking

SBI customers can also transfer their account to another branch online through net banking. If you have SBI Internet banking facility then follow the below steps:

Login to SBI Internet Banking.

After login, click on e-Services – Transfer of Saving Account

Next screen select your account number, enter new branch code and click Get branch code. You can see your new branch name. If a new branch name is correct then submit.

Finally, confirm your details and submit your account transfer request.

After submitting SBI account transfer request, your account will be transferred within  7-10 working days.

How to Know My Account has been transferred to the new branch

You can check your SBI account transfer status online by login to net banking and know whether your account transferred successfully or not.

To check SBI branch change status online, log in to net banking after 10-15 days.

Click on e-Services – Trabsefr of Saving Account.

Now click on History where you can see your old branch and new branch, which means your SBI account has been successfully transferred to the new branch.

(1) How long does it take to transfer SBI account?
