SBI customers can easily activate/deactivate their ATM/Debit Card for online transactions and payments. If you want to use your SBI Debit Card online for payments then first you need to enable your Debit Card for online usage (if online usage is disabled).
So here we are going to discuss 3 methods to activate SBI Debit Card for online (E-Commerce) transactions.
Enable Online Transactions for SBI ATM/Debit Card using Mobile Banking
You can easily activate your SBI ATM/Debit Card for online payments and transactions through the SBI Mobile Banking application YONO Lite. Follow the below steps:
Step 1: Login to SBI Mobile Banking (SBI YONO Lite)
Step 2: After login, tap and open “Manage Cards” section.
Step 3: Next screen, select “Manage Debit Card” option.
Step 4: Now select your account number and card number. Here you need to turn ON the “e-Commerce (CNP) txns” option. Set a new limit for your Debit Card in the POS/CNP limit option and submit.
Done! you have successfully activated your SBI Debit Card for online usage. Similarly, you can deactivate online usage for your Debit Card by turning off the “E-Commerce (CNP)” option.
Activate Online Usage for SBI Debit Card through SBI YONO
If the SBI YONO application is active on your phone then you can enable online usage for your SBI Debit Card.
Step 1: Login to the SBI YONO application and open menu options. Now tap on the “Service Request” option.
Step 2: In-service request, tap, and open the “ATM/Debit Card” section.
Step 3: Now tap on the “Manage Card” option.
Step 4: Next screen, select your account number and Debit card number. Now tap on “Manage Usage” & turn ON the “E-commerce transactions” option. You can also set the limit for online transactions, tap on “Manage limit”
Activate Online Payments for SBI Debit Card by SMS
If you don’t have active mobile banking or any other online channels then you can also send an SMS from your bank registered mobile number to activate online transactions for your SBI Debit Card.
Send an SMS in the below format from your registered mobile number:
- SWON<space>ECOM<space>Last 4-digit of Debit Card & Send to 092239 66666
- For example, if my Debit Card last 4-digit is (4637) then SMS format will be SWON ECOM 4637
You can install “SBI Quick” application to send SMS automatically.
And the last option is SBI net banking. You can also login to SBI internet banking and activate your Debit card for online payments and transactions.
